Hughes Satellite

What other satellite internet providers are there besides hughes?

I need some prices also, and if anybody has personally used it and could give me some advice that would be great also thanks!

P.S.

I need it mostly for uploading photos on ebay

The three main providers are Hughes Net, Wildblue, and Starband. Wildblue and Starband ave slightly higher ratings then Hughes net. As the other guy mentioned, they do have a latency, and they all have upload and download limits. So I would not do a lot of work on them.

Hughes Internet Solves The Dial-Up Dilemma For Rural Residents

There are no more joys of dial-up internet access. Remember the days when it was the best way to go? Those days have been over for a very long time! If you’re still using dial-up internet, ask yourself, WHY?

Dialup is slow and there is no getting around that. Even the fastest speed can’t give you what satellite internet service gives you. It’s not always on like satellite internet from Hughes internet. If you want to check email, get directions, check a fact, or weather…and you haven’t already done the dialing-waste-of-time connecting, you have to wait for the screaming modems to fight back and forth. This might even lead you to NOT use the internet for those small occasions where you want to look up “a quick little something.” That’s a bummer, that’s not what the internet is all about…it’s supposed to be there, at your disposal, ready for you when you need it. Oh wait… it is!

The internet is always there…waiting for you. With Hughes satellite internet service, you can access it much easier, and jump on anytime you want to, anytime you need to – and you can do it immediately. It’s never off. You’re always online. How much better than dial-up does that sound? About a million times better – and yet, satellite isn’t any more expensive than most other methods of high-speed, broadband internet.

Plus, why would you want to use a phone line when you don’t have to? You’re more apt to lose a connection with dial-up than with satellite, especially if somebody else picks up and starts using an extension phone line. If you’re in a rural area where you don’t have a good cellular signal, and you don’t have an extra land line, no one can reach you in an emergency. Hughes Internet service frees up the phone line so you can use it for phone calls. What a luxury! Using the home or business phone, for phone calls while you’re online! Satellite internet lets you do that. Dial-up doesn’t.

Now, have you answered the question at the beginning as to why you’re still using dial-up? If not, you can always use the internet to research Hughes Internet. You can do it faster if you aren’t using dial-up!
